Brigham City Transit Corridor Study

Project Summary

brigham_city_paintnettedProject Summary: InterPlan recently managed a large multi-disciplinary team of planners and engineers to evaluate the feasibility of extending commuter rail from Ogden to Brigham City. Following the FTA AA study guidelines, InterPlan evaluated a broad range of transit alternatives and provided extensive estimates of cost and ridership forecasts for a range of alternatives including modest bus system expansion to aggressive commuter rail construction. Various sub-alternatives and modified operating plans were also evaluating including both shared track and exclusive track construction of commuter rail using both commuter rail and diesel multiple unit (DMU) technology. Revenue forecasts and comparisons of FTA Small Starts expectations were also developed to provide for a short term and long term action plan for implementing the preferred alternative.
