Project Summary
In 2008, InterPlan was hired as the prime consultant to follow-up on the 2005 Quad Studies to identify and assist with defining and preserving priority transportation corridors in the southern portion of Utah County. The study area is projected to grow from approximately 100,00 people today to half a million people at build-out, with most of the growth occuring before the year 2040. Significant local government coordination was required to evaluate travel patters, land use and transporation plans and to identify corridor preservation tools and techniques. Resource agency coordination of environmental obstacles, public involvement, and long range planning were all significant issues raised during the corridor preservation studies.
