Brigham City SR-13

Project Summary

Brig_City_SR_13_Study_Area_GraphicPNBrigham City asked InterPlan to evaluate the general traffic operations of proposed local street access to state Route 13 (S.R. 13). InterPlan analyzed operation at this intersection along with sight distance and access spacing. 450 West is planned in the Brigham City Capital Facilities Plan and is intended to provide improved access to S.R. 13, and system linkages. The major issues were found to be:

1. The impact of 450 West on the operation of the existing intersection of S.R. 13 and Willow Creek Drive,
2. Sight distance issues related to vertical and horizontal curves on S.R. 13,
3. Adherence to Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) access management standards,
4. Turn-lane design issues associated with the access to S.R. 13.
