Project Summary
Midvale City contracted with InterPlan to provide analysis of existing and future traffic and pedestrian conditions near the 7800 South TRAX station in Midvale's Transit Oriented Development (TOD) district. InterPlan examined key issues such as traffic and safety concerns at skewed intersections on 7800 South as well as concerns of neighborhoods related to a proposed development. As the project progressed, city staff asked InterPlan to give specific recommendations related to closing a neighborhood street as well as alternative treatments that would mitigate neighborhood concerns.
